I stepped away from writing this blog. I needed to put
things into perspective for myself and wanted to focus on other things for a
while. There have been many changes happening in my life and spirit. I do
apologize to the few people I have been made aware were following this blog.
So, I am back.
I want to write basically an update covering the last few
months.
First, I am no longer in any way affiliated with any
religious group or denomination. After a lot of soul searching and a ton of
study I have come to a place where I can no longer directly associate myself
with any current belief system. I sought Christ consciousness, and I found it.
Unfortunately, I have yet to really find any belief “system” that, to me,
accurately captures the essence of humankind and God’s relationship. For now,
call me simply a searcher. I can no longer stand for the things I see organized
religion standing for, so I have stepped away.
Second, in regards to my book. I finished “Kill Your Idols”
and after much inner turmoil, scrapped the whole thing and began again. I am
roughly a quarter of the way finished and will be taking my time. So, it may
not see the light of day until next year.
Third, in regards to my non-profit American Exile. The dream
is still alive and I am still working with various groups locally and hopefully
it will be happening sooner, rather than later. I am thinking more like 2013
versus 2012. I am currently performing in a musical group called American
Exile, and will use this vehicle to spread my opinions and concerns about
various social and political issues, as well as to raise money for the said
non-profit of the same name. All the merchandising offered by the group will go
in part to accomplish this. We will have a record out shortly and will be
touring next year to support it. I can’t wait to see you there.
Fourth, I will not step away from the blog again for any
extended period of time. I have been very touched by the people that have
reached out to me and expressed interest in my thoughts and opinions. It truly
means the world to have your support and I will continue to use this vehicle to
express myself. Thank you, most especially to the Russian and European folks
who have come from across the earth to share their thoughts and support!
Lastly, I have in fact written several blogs I did not
publish during this time and will do so over the next week or so. I hope you
enjoy them and put the within messages in perspective of my journey. Remember that
this life is a process.
